Shunde to set up the Internet of Things Industry Alliance

The term “Internet of Things” appeared in Shunde for the first time in the government work report in 2010. It was one of the 11 annotations in the report. At that time, there was only one short sentence in the report – to develop and apply the Internet of Things. However, in less than two years, the Shunde Internet of Things industry has achieved a transformation from concept to landing and agglomeration, and the industry has begun to take shape.

In the face of IoT business opportunities, Shunde household appliances and furniture companies first took action. Little Swan, a subsidiary of Midea, launched the world's first IoT washing machine in 2010 and was first listed in the United States, where the application environment is relatively mature. This is the only thing in the world that truly enters the commercial Internet of things washing machine. Several products such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, and microwave ovens have been seamlessly connected to the national smart grid, enabling remote control and inquiries of the Internet and mobile terminals.

Combine launched a networked intelligent home control system that integrates automation control system, computer network system, and network communication technology. The IoT home system truly implements a controller that can control whole-house appliances. It is reported that this is the first wireless solution to the home appliance system launched in China, and it is at the leading position in home control systems. At present, the project has been put into use in Xingtan. After the project is fully put into production, it is estimated that the annual sales will reach 5,000 units and the sales amount will reach 100 million yuan. In addition, Wanhe Group has launched a series of water heaters that can be remotely controlled, and Yilong Electric has successfully developed a multimedia coffee maker.

The person in charge of the Shunde Economic Promotion Bureau believes that in recent years, the R&D and application of the Internet of Things in household appliances, mechanical equipment, electronic information, logistics, and social management in Shunde have shown rapid development. The core enterprises represented by Wulian Tianxia, Midea, Kelon, Dongling, Herbalife, Ruide Electronics, Ruitu Wanfang, and Wings Wulian have done a lot of basic work in the R&D and application of the Internet of Things.

The government establishes a leading platform for the development of the Internet of Things At present, Shunde has established the strategic goal of “City Upgrades Leads the Transformation and Development and Jointly Builds and Shares Shunde Happiness in Shunde”, and goes the other way in terms of industrial transformation: the promotion of traditional industries and the cultivation of new industries. The Internet of Things industry just fits these two roads.

From this year onwards, the Shunde Economic Promotion Bureau has begun to increase efforts to support the development of the Internet of Things industry. Through the government's guidance, the Internet of Things industry will be guided from intensive development to intensive development.

An industrial park + a research institute + an industry alliance, which is the leading platform for the development of the Internet of Things by the Shunde government. The first “Internet of Things Application Industrial Base” for the purpose of industrialization in China was set up in Lecong Town. The industrial base includes the Smart Experience Zone, Guangdong Province’s South China Institute of Applied Sciences, E-commerce Collaboration Platform and Plan 1000 Mu of the four major sections of the Internet of Things industrial park. According to reports, according to the plan, it plans to adopt three to five years of time, and introduce more than 300 core technology companies at home and abroad to shake up the output value of 30 billion yuan. Shunde will be used as a place for international Internet of Things applications, a national demonstration area for Internet of Things applications, and an innovative highland for Internet of Things in South China.

In addition, Shunde is preparing to issue the Measures for the Administration of Special Funds for the Development of the Internet of Things Industry, which is currently under examination and approval by the government and is planned to be officially introduced at the end of the year.

The Shunde District Internet of Things Industry Alliance is also under construction. The alliance will cover the Internet of Things applications of Shunde household appliances, machinery, furniture, electronics, information services, software, logistics, telecommunications operators and even real estate developers, and actively develop and promote the Internet of Things standards and protocols.

It is reported that the alliance will also set up the Internet of things technology engineering center, research and promote the Internet of things technology, carry out policy research, organize project declarations, be responsible for personnel training and technical exchanges, hold exhibitions and trade fairs. At the same time, the engineering center will promote the leading enterprises from various industries to establish 10 to 15 sub-centers for sub-industries, establish application experience centers for various industries, expand business application plans, and achieve full coverage of the market.

The chief executive of the Market District Economic Promotion Bureau stated that Shunde’s advantage in developing the Internet of Things industry is to have a strong manufacturing base. Therefore, as long as the IoT technology is integrated with traditional industries organically, it is bound to form a huge market space. .

To this end, Shunde will fully promote a number of social Internet of Things display applications, to promote the use of the industry, create market space, lead the upgrading of traditional manufacturing, and promote the transformation. In the future, Shunde's IoT industry will focus on the development of smart home appliances, intelligent machinery and equipment, smart homes, smart logistics, and smart business. At the same time, the government will also increase its investment in resources and launch a number of demonstration projects for Internet of things applications in areas such as urban management, social management, and people’s livelihood construction, such as parking management, environmental supervision, special equipment management, food safety supervision, and supervision of dangerous goods transportation. With practical applications, it will promote the development of the technology and industry of the Internet of Things in Shunde.
