The National Conference on the Standardization of Daily Ceramics Technical Committee and the Standards Review Conference Held in Jingdezhen

On November 8-11, 2011, the National Committee for the Standardization of Daily Ceramics Technical Committee Annual Meeting and Standards Review Meeting was held in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province. At the meeting, Director Cha Changquan first introduced the status and role of standardization and affirmed the establishment of the Commission for more than two years. Centering on the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” to improve the layout of the ceramic standard system. He hoped that the Standards Committee would further improve the quality of standards and strengthen its own management while improving the standard system. Li Shuo, secretary general of the National Standardization Technical Committee for Daily Use Ceramics, made a report on the work of the Secretariat of the National Standardization Technical Committee for Daily Use Ceramics from 2010 to 2011. Delegates discussed the proposed revision of the standard system in 2012, and proposed amendments to three national standards, such as Classification of Daily-use Ceramics, Terminology of Ceramics for Daily Use, and Terminology of Defective Ceramics for Daily Use.

Delegates reviewed 11 national and industry standards, such as the “Daily Baiyun Ceramics”, and formed and passed the standard review conclusions. It is recommended that these 11 standards be reviewed and submitted for approval according to the review opinions.
