Hunan's “Eleventh Five-Year†key science and technology projects, the ultra-high-power nickel-hydrogen battery industrialization project has recently started. Hunan Shenzhou Technology Co., Ltd., with 7 years of research and development experience, signed a cooperation agreement with Hunan Dabao Precision Technology Group Co., Ltd., and will invest 540 million yuan in three phases to establish a production base. It is expected that China's independently developed high-power nickel-hydrogen will be launched by the end of the year. Power battery products provide support for hybrid electric vehicles with independent intellectual property rights to be launched in China. Shenzhou Technology has signed long-term supply agreements and auto parts development agreements with Dongfeng and Chery. Chery plans to test 30,000-30,000 hybrid electric vehicles in 2008.
