1. High-voltage power supply for radar transmitters

In modern radar transmitters, the use of traveling wave tubes (TWTs) as microwave power amplifiers occupies a large proportion, and as a high power part, its reliability and technical specifications have a direct impact on radar transmitters and even the entire radar. . The high voltage power supply (system) supporting the traveling wave tube is even more important. Switching power supply technology as a high-frequency, high-efficiency power electronic technology, with the continuous update of electronic components and products, the replacement of high-power devices, high-power switching power supply technology has been developed. Radar traveling wave tube with high-voltage switching power supply, full-bridge resonant PWM modulation can be used, high-power switching devices using advanced IGBT modules and advanced and reliable drive circuit, making the overall performance of the power supply is good, stability is good, and has a variety of protection functions .

Working principle: 50Hz three-phase 380V through the power grid filter, after rectification and filtering to get more than 500 volts DC voltage, supply series resonant converter. Since the power output is as high as 20 kV, in order to reduce the difficulty of designing the transformer, and to reduce the withstand voltage value of the high voltage rectifier diode and improve the reliability of the power supply, two secondary transformers of the transformer are respectively used for full-bridge rectification, and the output is superimposed. The full-bridge converter consists of four IGBTs, a high frequency transformer, and a rectifier circuit. The control circuit provides two pairs of pulses that are insulated from each other and have a phase difference of 180° to the IGBT driver circuit to control the on-off of the IGBT. The DC voltage is converted into an alternating 20 kHz pulse voltage, and a voltage of several tens of kV is obtained by a transformer and a full-bridge rectifier and filter circuit.

2. High power and high voltage power supply for electron beam welding machine

Electron beam welding is widely used in many industries such as aerospace, atomic energy, national defense and military, automotive and electrical instrumentation because it has the advantages of not using electrodes, not easy to oxidize, good process reproducibility, and small thermal deformation. The basic principle of electron beam welding is that the cathode in electrons emits electrons due to direct or indirect heating. The electrons can form an electron beam with extremely high energy density through the focusing of an electromagnetic field under the acceleration of a high-voltage electrostatic field. When the workpiece is bombarded, a large amount of kinetic energy is converted into heat, so that the workpiece at the welding site is melted to form a molten pool, thereby welding the workpiece.

3, high-voltage pulse power

In radar navigation equipment, the transmitter part generally requires a high-voltage, narrow-pulse, strong-power pulse source with different repetition frequencies. This kind of high power pulse source generally uses a high voltage power supply to boost the utility power to several kilovolts to tens of kilovolts DC high voltage, and then a modulator modulates the DC high voltage into a pulse source of a desired pulse width and frequency for the emission tube. use.
