On July 23, the construction and acceptance meeting of the professional meteorological service system (Phase I) of Suqian Eco-chemical Technology Industrial Park in Jiangsu Province was held. An expert group composed of units and departments from Jiangsu Meteorological Bureau and Nanjing Information Engineering University conducted on-site evaluation of the system. The expert group believes that the system is advanced in technology, stable in operation, highly targeted, and unanimously agreed to pass the acceptance, and that the system is nationally pioneering and worthy of demonstration and promotion in the province and even the whole country.
According to reports, Suqian City Ecological Chemical Industry Park is home to a large number of chemical production enterprises, each of which may be subject to lightning, strong winds, strong precipitation, high temperature, high humidity, low temperature, freezing and thickening in production, storage, loading and unloading, transportation and other aspects. The weather, such as fog, causes serious production accidents and pollution incidents such as leaks, eruptions, fires, and explosions. In order to effectively ensure the development of “ecological, scientific, efficient and safe†in the park, last year, the meteorological, safety supervision and environmental protection departments of Suqian City organized and implemented the construction of the meteorological service system of the park.
At present, the real-time meteorological detection system of the park has begun to take shape, and the data collection and processing system has been networked, forming a three-dimensional and comprehensive weather warning service system, which greatly improves the early warning capability and provides a strong guarantee for the safe development of various enterprises in the park.
