German Lach exhibits new superhard tools

In the last decade, the mold industry has replaced the time-consuming and labor-intensive manual operations (such as manual grinding) by adopting new processing techniques such as CNC electro-erosion machining or high-efficiency profiling (HSC).
At the recent European mold fair (Euromold) in Frankfurt, Lach Diamant of Germany presented a range of copy milling cutters for mold HSC machining, including processing of aluminum, graphite, glass/glass fiber reinforced plastics (GRP/GFRP). ) PCD profile milling cutter specially developed for molds and PCBN profile milling cutter for machining hardened steel molds. Test results show that the use of copy milling can reduce machining time by 50% compared to previous machining methods.
At the Grinding Technology Exhibition held in Augsburg, Germany in March this year (GrindTec, first initiated by the German Tool Grinder Association, has become an internationally important exhibition), Lach will be exhibited for grinding hard Diamond and CBN grinding wheels for alloys, high speed steels and ceramics. These grinding wheels are suitable for both conventional grinding and CNC grinding and/or high speed grinding. In addition, Lach will showcase a range of diamond trimming tools for common alumina and silicon carbide grinding wheels, as well as EDM machines for PCD tooling and forming.
Since Iach first took the technology patent for electric discharge machining (EDG) processing in 1978, Iach has been continuously introducing new electric machining machines. The latest model machine, the Dia-2100-mini, will be on display at GrindTec.
