In 2015, the diamonds cultivated by the company completed the transformation from laboratory development to industrialization; in 2016, market adaptation tests and medium-volume production were carried out, and the sales revenue reached nearly 10 million yuan that year.
According to reports, cultivating diamonds is similar to planting, and requires “seeds” and “nurturing materials”. In the ultra-vacuum culture chamber, the R&D team used small diamonds as “seeds” and then injected the carbon source gas to separate the carbon atoms in the “nutrients” under the action of microwaves, gradually depositing them on the “seeds” and pressing the diamond DNA. The code is arranged to eventually make the "seed" a larger diamond crystal.
According to reports, Jingzhu Industrial Co., Ltd. is currently the only company in China that has mastered this technology. “Compared with natural diamonds, the cultivated diamonds have high purity and low prices, which can be afforded by ordinary consumers.” Zhang Junan said.
In addition, CVD large single crystal diamond is widely used as a new material. According to reports, in addition to various types of diamond jewelry, CVD large single crystal diamond can also be used to manufacture ultra-precision metal, glass cutting tools and precision instruments in the fields of optics, laser, radar and so on. “The outer casing of the smartphone is cut and cut with an ultra-precision milling cutter made of CVD large single crystal diamond.” Zhang Junan said that the precision scalpel used in brain and ophthalmic surgery is made of CVD large single crystal diamond. It will be sharper and last longer.
