Huntsman launches polyurethane-based VYDRO foam

Global chemical company Huntsman has recently launched an innovative polyurethane-based VYDRO foam. The material has a water storage capacity up to 30 times its own weight and can be used in any roof greening system to improve plant growth. Compared with similar media, this material has a 60% reduction in its own weight. It is very suitable for some projects that have high requirements for building roof weight and structural strength, such as the restoration of old buildings. Not only that, its lightweight nature also greatly simplifies the transportation and installation process, saving the user time and money. While providing a vibrant green roof, VYDRO foam can also effectively reduce the overall energy consumption of a building due to its superior thermal insulation properties.
